Just days after taking on the Houston Texans, former Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is now a Texan himself. The fifth-year running back was claimed off of waivers by Houston on Tuesday, as first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Ellington will look to provide some additional help in the backfield after rookie running back D’Onta Formean left with a reported torn Achilles during Sunday’s win over the Cardinals.
The running back has had his own battles with injuries throughout his career in Arizona and will hope to get a fresh start with a new team. He was used more as a wide receiver this season, catching 33 passes for 297 yards. He’ll also be joining forces with his cousin, wide receiver Andre Ellington.
The Texans travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens next Monday night.
