While the Houston Texans make their run into the postseason, one of their coaches is getting a look as a potential head coach.
According to Albert Breer of MMQB, the Los Angeles Rams have been given permission to interview linebackers coach Mike Vrabel for their head coaching job.
Breer also reports that the plan is to interview Vrabel will after the Texans’ divisional round game against the New England Patriots.
Vrabel was offered the defensive coordinator job with the San Francisco 49ers last year, but he turned it down to stay in Houston.
Vrabel has been the linebackers coach in Houston since 2014 as part of Bill O’Brien’s staff. He had previously served as the linebackers and defensive line coach at Ohio State from 2011-2013.
