It’s not our list, but it’s definitely one worth sharing across the Texas High School Football community.
The Texas 50 has released its first-ever list of the top assistant coaches in Texas high school football, recognizing 50 coaches from across the state who play a huge role behind the scenes.
The list was selected with help from some heavy hitters, including Carthage head coach Scott Surratt, Lovejoy head coach Todd Dodge, THSCA executive director D.W. Rutledge, and former UIL executive director Dr. Charles Breithaupt.
The Texas 50, created by the Taylor Collective, shines a spotlight on assistant coaches from 1A through 6A who are developing players, building culture, and impacting their communities every day.
In April, this group will take part in a four-part Master Class Series, leading up to a final event on June 17 in Waco.
Bottom line… this is a great way to recognize the guys who don’t always get the headlines, but are a huge part of why programs win on Friday nights.
