Head Coach: Kent Walker
Kent walker, our 2020 Texas HS Football Coach of the Year, was officially named the permanent Head Coach. He took over as the coach mid-season when his brother Jeff Walker, passed away. He led the Panthers to the State Semifinal.

New Head Coach: James Gage
Offensive Coordinator Gage takes over for Tim Teykl, who resigned as coach for “racially insensitive comments. Gage has head coaching experience at S&S Consolidated.
Midland Bulldogs
New Head Coach: Daniel Longoria
Koy Detmer is moving on to coach Somerset. Detmer was 30-19 over 5 years. Special Teams Coordinator Longoria takes over.
Mission Eagles
New Head Coach: Thad Fortune
Tim Anuszkiewicz resigned after a 1-8 season. Fortune comes over from Odessa Permian, where he was the Offensive Coordinator.
Joshua Owls
New Head Coach: Danny DeArman
DeArman takes over for Gary Robinson. Robinson struggled at Joshua with a 4-25 record. DeArman comes over from Arlington Bowie where he led them to an 8-2 record last season.
Cypress Woods Wildcats
New Coach: Cody Simper
The Wildcats long time coach, Trent Faith, retired. He was 54-45 with the Wildcats. Simper comes from Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, where he led the Eagles to a 13-1 record last season.
Klein Oak Panthers
New Coach: Open
Klein Oaks struggled this year, but they went 20-6 over the previous two seasons under Jason Glenn. Glenn has moved into an administrative role and the coaching position is open.
Waxahachie Indians
New Coach: Shane Tolleson
The Indians went 5-5 this season after a 2-8 2018 and 1-9 2018 under Todd Alexander. Tolleson was the Defensive Coordinator for the state champion Denton Ryan Raiders.
Mount Vernon Tigers
New Coach: Brad Williard
Art Biles, the former Baylor Bears coach, resigned after two seasons. He went 12-3 last season. Willard was promoted from the Offensive Coordinator position.
Quitman Bulldogs
New Coach: Shane Webber
The Bulldogs went 0-10 last year. Bryan Oakes was 1-38 in 4 years. Webber was the Defensive Coordinator at Emory Rains last season.
Cypress Springs Panthers
New Coach: Oji Fagan
The Panthers struggled in 2020 with a 1-9 record under Rusty Rohan. Fagan takes over, coming from Fort Bend Marshall where he was the Offensive Coordinator.
Houston Strake Jesuit Crusaders
New Coach: Donovan Fikac
Fikac was an assistant last year. He takes over for Kubiak, who left to take a position with the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL.
Laredo LBJ Wolves
New Coach: Leo Mireles
The Wolves were 0-6 last year and 5-33 over the past 4 seasons under Alfonso Calderon. Calderon resigned, and Mireles, formerly the coach of Rio Grande City, takes over.
San Angelo Central Bobcats
New Coach: Kevin Crane
Despite the Bobcats going 5-6 last year, they were 95-46 under Brent Davis over his 12 years. He left to take over at Gregory-Portland, and Offensive Coordinator Crane was promoted to Head Coach.
Waco Lions
New Head Coach: Linden Heldt
The lions went just 1-6 last year. Coach Kwame Cavil resigned, and South Grand Prairie Defensive Coordinator, Heldt, is taking over.
Gregory-Portland Wildcats
New Head Coach: Brent Davis
Davis moved over from San Angelo Central. Davis is just 5 wins shy of 200 career Texas high school football head coaching wins.
Lubbock Coronado Mustangs
New Head Coach: D.J. Mann
Mann takes over a Mustang team that went 12-1 last year. Coach Seth Parr resigned to go to Anna. Mann was an assistant last year with Cedar Hill.
New Braunfels Canyon Cougars
New Head Coach: Travis Bush
The Cougars went 0-10 in 2019 and then went 11-2 last year under Joe Lepsis. Lepsis resigned and former Senguin Head Coach takes over.
Wylie East Raiders
New Head Coach: Marcus Gold
The Raiders struggled at 1-7 last year. Coach Mike Dormady resigned, and former Whitehouse Head Coach, Gold, takes over.
Whitehouse Wildcats
New Coach: Kyle Westerberg
Marcus Gold took the Wylie East job and the Wildcats hired Barbers Hill Offensive Coordinator, Westerberg, as the new coach.
Anna Coyotes
New Coach: Set Parr
Coach Jason Heath resigned after 9 solid seasons of building the program. Parr comes over from Lubbock Coronado where he was the Head Coach there. Parr is 6 wins shy of 100 for his career.
El Campo Ricebirds
New Coach: Chad Worrell
Former Coach Wayne Condra retired after the 9-2 season and a 50-20 record coaching the Ricebirds. They hired the Brock Head Coach, Worrell, to take over.
Brock Eagles
New Head Coach: Billy Mathis
The Eagles went 12-1 last year. Coach Chad Worrell was 91-12 at Brock and left to take the El Campo job. Mathis comes over from Weatherford and will have big shoes to fill.
