The Texas State 7on7 Association released the 2016 Adidas 7-on-7 state championship football teams on Monday via Twitter, as well as the opponents for all 128 teams, including Division I’s Waxahachie High School (13-4).
“All D2 registration will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon,” the association Twitter moderators said in later posts. “The registration for D1 teams will be between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. Registration time slots will run every 15 minutes. To help with logistics, we are asking teams who are scheduled to play at 1 p.m. to choose a registration time no later than 10:45 p.m.”
The Texas State 7on7 Association is a private organization not associated with either the University Interscholastic League (UIL) or the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) that promotes the game of football through 7-on-7 football competition. Its governing body is comprised of selected coaches from throughout the state of Texas.
