Frisco Lone Star vs. West Orange Stark
It’s a classic hypothetical matchup: one of the top defenses in the state vs. one of the top offenses. Lone Star has been shredding defenses this year, and they’re extremely talented. Jason Shelley is the real deal, and his play might take Lone Star back in a deep playoff run. They’ve had some hiccups along the way, but the Rangers are still a powerhouse offense.
West Orange Stark has a smothering defense to say the least. They’ve only given up three touchdowns this year, and they all came on the same night. WOS has some serious talent, but the way that talent unifies is what makes them as good as they are.
Manvel vs. San Angelo Central
Both teams have been going nuclear on their opponents this year. It would be a game that might just come down to who has the ball last in a shootout. Both teams have solid defenses, but I don’t think that they’ve faced anything like each other so far. Both have dropped over 60 points this year multiple times, with Central topping the 70 point mark. They’re both vulnerable teams, and the sheer amount of competition on the field would make for some compelling drama.
Bremond vs. Brock
Both are the undisputed #1 in their classifications so far. Roshauud Paul of Bremond has been nigh unstoppable, guiding the Tigers to a 6-0 record where they haven’t won by any less than 19 points. Brock’s been dominant too, outside of a two game stretch where their defense looked a little vulnerable (giving up 41 and 35 points in separate games), they’ve been stifling opponents. This one would come down to the wire too, but likely between two great defenses. Regardless of who came out the victor, it would be an absolute treat for those watching at home.
