We are in the heart of the season as we head into district play. Before the season here on the site we had a poll of who was the best wide receiver in the state, now let’s take a look at who the top 5 receivers are in the state.
Jalen Reagor, Senior, Waxahachie High School
Reagor is the top ranked WR in Texas according to 247Sports and has been a huge reason why Waxahachie has started the season 4-0. The Oklahoma commit has 513 yards, seven touchdowns on 28 receptions on the season. Reagor will continue to put up monster numbers for the rest of the season under the tutelage of head coach Jon Kitna.
Eric Ezukauma, Junior, Keller Timber Creek
leads all 6A receivers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with 701 yards receiving to go along with eight touchdowns on 36 catches. Ezukaunma has helped lead Timber Creek to a 3-1 start, and poised make a run towards the playoffs.
Braxton Ashcraft, Junior, Robinson High School
Ashcraft leads all of Texas with 992 yards and 18 touchdowns on 35 catches. He had a season high 325 yards and 7 touchdowns in the opening game of the season in a 62-46 win over Taylor.
CeeDee Lamb, Senior, Richmond Foster
The Oklahoma commit has 588 yards and seven touchdowns while hauling in 30 passes. The Oklahoma commit has lived up to the preseason hype and been a big part of why Foster is considered one of the top teams in the state.
Waydale Jones, Senior, Jones High (Beeville)
Jones is second in the state in yards with 810. He also has 11 touchdowns on 42 receptions. He has two games where he has caught three touchdowns and one of four touchdowns.
