Top Running Back Leaving Texas for California
One of the most productive returning runnings backs in Texas is changing high schools with less than a month before football practices start.
Devyn Turner will be transferring from Allen High School to St. Francis. Turner had a productive 2021 with over 1,000 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. He was a Texas 5-6A first-team all-district selection as a junior. He is a big loss for new Allen Head Coach Lee Wiginton and for the state of Texas.
Turner has been getting a lot of interest from D1 colleges, including recent offers from UNVL and Washington State. The 5’8′ 180lbs running back/slot receiver has been putting up big off-season workout numbers on his Virtual Combine and projects to be a dynamic slot receiver or back in college. Turner is a great addition to St. Francis and he should be one of the top-performing running backs in the state of California if given enough touches in the high-powered St. Francis offense.
