The Academy Bumblebees are buzzing today about their new hire.
Chris Lancaster was announced as the program’s new head coach Wednesday evening, replacing Paul Williams, who retired in January following six seasons with the team.

Lancaster comes to Academy from Troy, where he served as offensive coordinator, but he was head coach at Bruceville-Eddy (2009-2013) and in Georgia along with being an assistant at Baylor, Sam Houston State, McNeese State and Kentucky.
The Bumblebees suffered through a 2-9 season last year, losing their final five games after reaching the playoffs in 2018.
