Looking for your justification for having Tenaha at 2 and Mart at 5. Tenaha beat Kerens 28-9 and Mart beat Kerens 62-0, was up 55-0 early in the 3rd Quarter with a running clock.
Jerry,
Thanks for the comment! Tenaha (5-0) reached the regional final and lost to eventual state champion Bremond in 2016 while Mart (4-1) reached the regional semifinal round and lost to state championship runner-up Crawford. Mart remains ranked within the top 10 because of — rather than despite — its loss to Associated Press unranked but undefeated Lexington High School. We use percentages of past results and success to weigh our calculations in rankings.

Lexington is ranked in the AP Poll at #2
Class 3A
School Rec. Points Prv
1. Gunter (16) 6-0 238 1
2. Lexington (3) 5-0 201 2
3. Wall (3) 5-0 195 3
4. Newton (3) 4-0 179 4
5. Malakoff 5-0 130 5
6. Canadian 5-0 118 6
7. Brock 4-1 97 7
8. Hallettsville 4-1 59 28
9. West Rusk 4-0 55 9
10. Yoakum 5-1 44 10
Then that would make the two teams even — as if Mart never suffered a loss. In that case, the calculations would call upon past success and the factual results of the UIL 2A playoffs provided in the previous response.
