Hamlin is coming off of a 56-23 victory over Stratford in a rematch of a regular season game that Hamlin fell in. Hamlin forced seven turnovers and looks to continue the momentum into the title game. Hamlin’s defense will be the key to a Hamlin win if they can pull it off in their first-ever title game appearance.
Two-time defending state champion, Mart is on a war path looking for their third straight title. Coming off of a 28-8 win over Falls City, Mart’s explosive offense will look to cut through any and every hole in Hamlin’s defense.

WHAT: Class 3A, Division II Championship
WHO: Gunter (14-1) vs. Omaha Pewitt (14-1)
WHERE: AT&T Stadium
WATCH: Fox Sports Southwest Plus
Gunter is coming off of a stressful comeback 27-20 win over Canadian where Bryson Rigsby came up big with a tackle inches shy of the goal line with no time left on the clock to secure the win. Gunter was down 17-3 late in the second quarter, but rallied behind Peyton Lowe advancing to their third title game in four seasons.
Omaha Pewitt is coming off of a similar win in which they had to stop their opponent 1-yard short of a touchdown last week to secure a 24-18 win over East Bernard. Pewitt’s defense has held solid late in the game with key stops. We should expect to see both Gunter and Pewitt show off their run game in a physical matchup.
