Fort Bend Marshall and Aledo meet up for a rematch of last year’s state championship game. Fort Bend Marshall comes off of a 55-21 win over Boerne Champion last week. Marshall exploded in the first half and can be expected to do the same on Saturday if Aledo’s defense isn’t prepared.
Aledo comes into the game after a 28-21 win over Lubbock Cooper last week. Big time names like JoJo Earle and Jase McClellan haven’t been at the top of their games at the tail end of this season raising some questions about how the Bearcats might handle a strong Fort Bend Marshall squad.

WHAT: Class 6A, Division I Championship
WHO: Duncanville (15-0) vs. Galena Park North Shore
WHERE: AT&T Stadium
WATCH: Fox Sports Southwest
Duncanville dominated over Rockwall last week with a 56-14 victory. However, quarterback Ja’Quinden Jackson went down with a knee injury. Late in the second quarter. Freshman Chris Parsons came in ready to roll and helped lead the team to a win. Duncanville will be asking a lot of Parsons if Jackson remains out on Saturday.
Galena Park North Shore is coming off of a 49-38 win over Lake Travis last week. North Shore played most of the first half without running back Zach Evans who was taking the ACT test. North Shore spent the first half proving that they have an explosive offense regardless of who is set to receive for them, but even bigger is North Shore’s defense against the run game this season. Duncanville will be forced to throw more than they will like to if they expect to match up against North Shore.

WHAT: Class 6A, Division II Championship
WHO: Denton Guyer (14-1) vs. Austin Westlake (14-1)
WHERE: AT&T Stadium
WATCH: Fox Sports Southwest
Denton Guyer comes off a huge35-17 win over Spring Westfield last week. With a nearly unstoppable running game, Kaedric Cobbs and the Guyer offensive line dominate the field a majority of their match-ups. We should expect no different on Saturday. It will be a true test of Guyer’s offense as they face Austin Westlake who hasn’t allowed more than 14 points in 13 of their 15 games this season.
Austin Westlake dominated over Katy Taylor with a 63-3 win last week. Quarterback Kirkland Michaux continued to prove himself with seven touchdown passes. Westlake can be expected to come out strong both offensively and defensively as they seek their second state title.
