We conducted a poll for the Week 1 Player of the Week. The nominees were the most outstanding players in the games our writers covered, as well as the most nominated players on social media.
The Winner was: Caleb Bell from Texas City
Caleb Bell is a class of 2024 running back for Texas City. The Texas City Stingarees, a 5A DII team, beat Friendswood, 27-13, at home in week 1. Bell had over 207 yards on just 19 carries in just one half of play.
