Robert Guerra (Vela)
Yards are fantastic, but points are the only things that matter. Robert Guerra of Vela High scored more points in the first game than some running backs score in a season. Guerra had 33 carries for 359 yards and NINE touchdowns. That is in no way a typo, Guerra scored nine touchdowns.
Guerra’s performance was dominating, and definitely deserving of a spot on this list.
TréVon Bradley (Cleburne)
The first game of the year was a definite success for TréVon Bradley of the Cleburne Yellowjackets. He rushed for 431 yards and 7 touchdowns, and threw for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns as well. All of this came against the normally stout defense of Stephenville as well.

Bradley holds an offer from the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes as a wide receiver, but more are sure to come in if he keeps this pace up.
Jason Shelley (Frisco Lone Star)
Shelley had a fantastic season opener at the same time as the Frisco Star opened. He had 489 passing yards and 2 touchdowns through the air, while also scoring 2 touchdowns and 21 yards on the ground. Shelley is a hard commit to Utah, and looks to lead Frisco Lone Star to a state title in 2016. The Rangers went to the 5A DII state title game in 2015, and Shelley will be a big part of their 2016 campaign
