Weigman Puts on a Clinic Against Klein Cain

Conner Weigman

On a hot, humid Saturday night in Houston, Texas, the Bridgeland Bears exerted their
will on the Klein Cain Hurricanes all night.

For a program only three years old, Bridgeland showed it has playmakers on every side of the
ball. But as impressive as that is, nothing this weekend in Texas High School football was more
impressive than top-rated pocket passer Conner Weigman.

Conner Weigman: #1 Pocket Passer in the Country

The Texas A&M commit showed he should be listed as a triple threat. He is the #1 pocket-passer in the country and the #35 overall prospect in the ESPN 300.

Through three-quarters of play, Weigman accounted for eight touchdowns. On three of those touchdowns, he connected with talented receiver Andrew Maleski.

In the first half, Weigman had 4 passing TDs, 2 rushing touchdowns, and 1 receiving touchdown. Then
followed that up by accounting for the team’s 8th touchdown of the game in the third quarter.

This was Bridgeland’s second straight victory over Klein Cain.

Game Breakdown:

Klein Cain wasn’t ready to pack in yet. Roper fired a 17 Yd TD pass to standout
wide receiver and TCU commit Matthew Golden. Bridgeland 34 – Klein Cain 14.

Halftime

The last air raid came on a Weigman connection for 70 Yd TD strike to
Maleski..for the third time. Bridgeland 54 – Klein Cain 14

In a valiant but futile effort, Roper ended his day after being hurt at the end of the second quarter.  Smith took over as QB for the Hurricanes.

Weigman finished his night with over 450 total yards and eight touchdowns accounted for.

Backup QB Josh Stevens came on in relief with 1:32 to go in the 3rd Quarter.
