The Mad Pirate will continue to recruit Texas forever, likely because of his former job with Texas Tech. His latest signee is a great one out of West Rusk, linebacker Tyree Wilson.

Wilson had 68 solo tackles in West Rusk’s 2016 season, scoring 13 tackles for loss. The Raiders lost in the bi-district round to Crockett, ending the 2016 season at 7-4.

The Washington State Cougars started the 2016 season off in very Washington State fashion, losing a game to an FCS team. They ended the season in quintessential Washington State fashion as well, ending up with a solid season and a bowl game after losing a game to a team they technically should beat.

Regardless, the Cougars need serious help on the defensive side of the ball. Mike Leach has never had a truly dominant defense, but he’s definitely showing a commitment to making his defense better.
