Austin Westlake won a state championship last month, and now it’s time to celebrate.
Twenty-three years after earning the program’s only other state title, the Chaparrals will hold the Westlake Parade of Champions on Sunday along the streets surrounding the school’s campus.
It will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Following the parade, there will be a trophy presentation, and head coach Todd Dodge will address the crowd.
Westlake shutout Denton Guyer 24-0 in December to win the Class 6A, Division II championship behind quarterback Kirkland Michaux, who capped off his career with a 285-yard, three touchdown performance.
