Along with becoming the first offensive line addition to the Red Raiders’ 2018 haul and commit No. 10 overall, Franks continues the recent surge of recruiting success for Texas Tech. Within the last six days, including Franks, Texas Tech has picked up six pledges, averaging a commitment per day beginning with three-star Cameron Valentine on June 12.
Franks, a two-star prospect, also held offers from New Mexico, New Mexico State and North Texas.
At 6’4, 270 pounds, Franks ranks as the nation’s No. 141 offensive tackle and the No. 277 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
