The Texas Longhorns will be losing some much-needed depth on the defensive line with the transfer of Jordan Elliott.

This is a substantial hit to a defensive line that lost many proven contributors this offseason. The move will force the Longhorns to rely on freshmen and sophomores in the fall.

In March, the defensive line at Texas was criticized by Tom Herman, who stated, “I’m not sure about the types of bodies we have there. We’ve gotta find some length.”

This will be Tom Herman’s first season with the Longhorns, and they will kick off on September 2nd at home against Maryland.
