The six-foot-four athlete is rated the 53rd best strong-side defensive end in the nation in the 2021 recruiting class according to a 247sports composite.
Jones tallied 55 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, and six sacks in the 2019 season as McKinney finished with a 7-5 record. The junior played a big role in McKinney’s first playoff win since 1994 as they beat Garland Naaman Forest 13-10 in the first round.
Jones chooses the Tigers’ program over schools like Arizona, Baylor, Kansas, North Texas, Texas, Texas Tech, UTSA and more.
