Desoto is the new number one — The Eagles are flying high after two blowout wins against tough opponents, Dallas Jesuit and Denton Guyer. The addition of quarterback Shawn Robinson has bode well for head coach Todd Peterman and the Eagles offense. Desoto ranks second in total offense in 6A averaging 509-yards per game and first in scoring offense with 49 points per game.
Pearland jumps up five spots — The Oilers had another solid week by blanking Memorial 36-0 to move to 2-0. Now the Oilers must focus their attention on a tough Manvel team that is fresh off a victory against a Houston powerhouse, North Shore.
Westlake loses Ehlinger, fall six spots — The Chaps had a rough week, needless to say. First, the Chaps lost senior quarterback Sam Ehlinger due to knee surgery. Then, the Chaps lose to Liberty (NV) 21-14 on Friday. The Texas commit had surgery early last week and is expected to miss a substantial amount of games. Head coach Todd Dodge might have a trick up his sleeve but for now Westlake sits at the No. 7 spot.
