This year, we’re witnessing familiar faces and exciting newcomers battling for glory, making it a week you won’t want to miss! It all kicks off Wednesday with the 6-Man battles, culminating in a grand finale on Saturday night featuring powerhouse matchups like North Crowley vs. Austin Westlake and Southlake Carroll vs. Vandegrift.
In this episode, I spoke to two athletes who shared their journeys to the state finals!
First up is Celina Bobcats senior running back Harrison Williams! Harrison scored the winning touchdown in the Bobcats’ semifinal 43-36 victory over White Plains. He fills me in on the team, the special Bobcat community, and offers great advice he has learned from his years playing Texas high school football.
Next, I had the chance to talk to Highland Park Scots quarterback Buck Randall. Buck, only a sophomore, has helped lead his team to the state finals. He discusses his adjustment to becoming QB1 at such a young age, the spirit of their special team, and much more!
