Khelvy Jefferson Opens Senior Year With Five-Touchdown Statement

Austin Roof Inspection

West Orange-Stark senior running back Khelvy Jefferson could not have asked for a much louder start to his final season.

Jefferson scored five touchdowns in the Mustangs’ 44-28 Week 1 victory over Newton, immediately showing the explosiveness and power he brings to the West Orange-Stark offense.

On Episode 139 of the Texas HS Football Podcast, host Taylor Arenz sits down with Jefferson to talk about the performance, the work behind it, and what he hopes to accomplish before his high school career comes to an end.

Jefferson explains how much of his offseason was focused on becoming stronger and more complete as a running back. That strength has become one of the defining parts of his game, helping him run through contact while still producing explosive plays.

The conversation also turns to recruiting. Jefferson talks about what the process has taught him and what he wants college coaches to see when they evaluate his film. For him, the goal is to show that he can be more than just a productive high school runner.

He also reflects on West Orange-Stark’s run to the state championship game last season. That experience gave Jefferson and the Mustangs a clear picture of what it takes to play deep into December.

Now, as a senior, Jefferson has stepped into a larger leadership role. His focus is not only on producing big numbers, but also helping West Orange-Stark get back into championship contention.

Five touchdowns in Week 1 was a pretty good place to start.

Episode 139 gives Texas high school football fans a chance to learn more about one of Southeast Texas’ most dangerous senior playmakers and the work driving his final season.
