Former Dulles Wide Receiver Will Get Super Bowl Ring

Austin Roof Inspection

Ainias Smith, a former standout at Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas, is now a Super Bowl champion with the Philadelphia Eagles. Though he was inactive for Super Bowl LIX, Smith will still receive a championship ring as part of the Eagles’ roster. Philadelphia secured a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, with Jalen Hurts leading the charge and the Eagles’ defense overwhelming Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense.

Smith, a rookie wide receiver, was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft after an impressive career at Texas A&M. During his time with the Aggies, he showcased his versatility as both a receiver and return specialist, earning First-Team All-SEC honors in 2023. In his debut NFL season, Smith played in seven games, recording seven catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. His first career touchdown came in Week 18 on a 15-yard pass from Tanner McKee against the New York Giants.

Despite not suiting up for the big game, Smith’s journey to a Super Bowl title is just beginning. His skillset, versatility, and playmaking ability make him an intriguing prospect for the Eagles’ offense in the coming seasons. With his first year in the books and a championship under his belt, Smith is poised to make a bigger impact moving forward.
