The players included in this poll were selected based on available regular-season statistical data. In most cases, these are the No. 1 statistical performers in each district and/or unanimous first-team all-district selections.
Some schools do not make their statistics available (we use a MaxPreps plugin to search statistics), which means players from those programs may not appear in the initial list.

- In the subject line, include the division and position (for example: “6A Quarterback”).
- In the body of the email, include the player’s name, school, and relevant statistics.
This is a fan vote poll, and you may vote as often as you’d like. Voting is mostly unlimited, but several security measures are in place. If you trigger one and become temporarily unable to vote, please wait one hour before trying again. Players may receive large numbers of votes quickly; accusations of cheating will not be tolerated.
All position winners will be featured in our Texas HS Football Magazine. Note that each position has multiple winners.
The winner of each poll, along with the next five vote-getters in all division polls, will be entered into that division’s Player of the Year poll.
All polls run for 10 days from the date they’re created. Polls usually go live on our website several hours before we share them on social media, so check the site early if you want a head start.
