Ryan Hood is taking over in Brownsboro.
Brownsboro ISD announced Hood as its new athletic director and head football coach on May 4, bringing a familiar face back to lead the Bears’ athletic program.
Hood previously served as Brownsboro’s offensive coordinator and head track coach. He brings more than 17 years of coaching experience across 2A and 4A programs, with previous stops at Paris, Chapel Hill, Athens, and Daingerfield-Lone Star.
His resume includes being part of two state championship programs at Daingerfield-Lone Star and helping lead Paris to the state playoffs.
Hood replaces Lance Connot, who left in April to become the athletic director and head football coach at Hubbard ISD.
Brownsboro reached the postseason in 2025, giving Hood a strong foundation as he looks to build momentum through player development, community support, and continued athletic growth.
