Highlights
Waskom survives a close one—The Wildcats are just one of those teams you can never count out. The Wildcats showed their class this weekend by surviving against a strong Jefferson side in double overtime. The narrow victory increases their winning streak to 32 games.
Canadian loses to Bushland—The Canadian Wildcats’ streak is over. After a 38-35 loss to Bushland, the Wildcats 31-game winning streak comes to an end. Now they will need to pick up where they left off, if they want a chance at another state title in Canadian, Texas.
The Brock Eagles are still good—The Brock Eagles are lethal. Just ask Stamford, who got blanked by the Eagles 52-0 in the opening game of the season. The Eagles continue their season against Midland Christian this week on Sept. 2.
