The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t made too many moves so far in free agency, but they added a new piece at running back on Monday. The team announced on Monday that they had signed running back Knile Davis to a one-year contract.

After a standout career at Fort Bend Marshall and later at Arkansas, Davis was drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. His signature moment in the league came in the AFC Wild Card game in the 2015 playoffs when he took the opening kickoff 106 yards for a touchdown against the Houston Texans.
2016 saw the end of his time in Kansas City after Davis was traded to the Green Bay Packers. He was released later in the season by the Packers. Davis has primarily been used as a kick returner, but could also split time with Le’Veon Bell in the backfield in Pittsburgh.
