The offseason has already given us Tom Herman’s sledgehammer swing bouncing off a locker, and now we have some new locker room related news in Austin: The Longhorns will have all-new lockers, and they are definitely sweet.
New lockers are unfreakingbelievable. Each locker has 43" monitor instead of name plate. #ThisisTexas #revolution18 pic.twitter.com/qeaI1TU8to

Now, these are extremely expensive. So expensive that they’re going to run $10,500 dollars per unit. That’s a pretty massive cost per player, and it’s pretty obvious that these are going to cost Texas a pretty penny.
The Longhorns have already shelled out the big bucks for Tom Herman and his expertise, but lockers that will likely have outdated tech in two and a half years are arguably a bigger investment. The Longhorns are dedicated to winning, if winning means winning the facility arms race.
