Coming off the heels of a state title game appearance, the Yoakum Bulldogs are adding some depth in the secondary for the 2017 season. Over the weekend, San Benito cornerback announced that he would be transferring to Yoakum for his senior season.

The senior to be dealt with injuries towards the end of last year, but he has spent time at wide receiver, cornerback and as a kick returner. His versatility proved to be very valuable for the Greyhounds and should prove to be a quality addition to Yoakum.
Pope is also a standout in track and should give the Bulldogs an extra element of speed.
Pope was selected to the Offense-Defense Bowl at the end of last season in Atlanta and competed against other top players from across the country.
