The Denver Broncos have been taking time out of their busy schedules to honor their less-visible employees for eighteen years. Until yesterday, they’ve never had a player show up at one of these events. The man that broke that streak? Former DeSoto Eagle and Texas A&M Aggie, Von Miller.

Miller, who is an all-pro linebacker year in and year out in addition to being the MVP of Super Bowl 50, asked to attend and speak at the ceremony to thank the employees for all that they do. He thanked everyone, then stayed for two more hours, helping to raffle off signed items.
On the field, Miller is a devastating force. He has 73 and a half sacks in his professional career, 13 and a half of those came last year. In Super Bowl 50, he racked up 2 and a half sacks and forced Cam Newton to fumble twice en route to being named the MVP of the game. Off the field, Miller is genuine and giving. He put on a bunch of crazy outfits and danced in a commercial for Xbox that got stuck in everyone’s heads before the 2016 season. He (and Demaryius Thomas) also paid for a hundred football staff employees of the Broncos to have a weekend getaway at an upscale resort in Colorado. This is just another example of Miller giving back.
