A former Baylor Bear has been signed by the Los Angeles Chargers: Ryan Reid.

The 5’11”, 190 pound defensive back made quite the splash at Baylor. He’s eighth in school history with 28 passes defended, and he had three interceptions as a senior. Reid was a part of some of the best Baylor teams of all time during his tenure, and was a Big 12 champion in 2013 and 2014.

The Chargers only went 5-11 in 2016, and finished last in the AFC West. With Mike McCoy gone and Anthony Lynn, a former Celina Bobcat and Texas Tech Red Raider, is the new head coach. They’ll certainly need the help Reid brings to the defense, which ranked 16th in total defense last year.
