Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was granted a temporary restraining order by Federal Judge Amos Mazzant in a Texas court on Friday afternoon, effectively blocking the six-game suspension upheld by Harold Henderson and making him eligible to play according to multiple reports.

Elliott sued the NFL last week, citing a ‘conspiracy’ to ‘hide critical information’ and was not given an opportunity to face his accuser and information to make his case was withheld during the appeal process.

The second-year running back was issued a six-game suspension last month by the league due to alleged incidents of domestic violence against his then-girlfriend back in 2016. He appealed the suspension which has upheld by Henderson earlier this week. Because of the timing of the ruling, Elliott would have been eligible to play on Sunday against the New York Giants.

With this new ruling, Elliott will still be able to play while the case is discussed in court.
