In its brief history, AT&T Stadium in Arlington has hosted a number of big events from Cowboys home games, the Cotton Bowl Classic, the Super Bowl and the Texas high school football state championships. In 2018, the NFL Draft will be added to the list.

On Wednesday, the league announced that the 2018 draft will be held at AT&T Stadium from April 26-28, marking the first time that a stadium will host the three-day long event. This is also the first time that the NFL Draft has come to Texas, after being held in Chicago and Philadelphia respectively each of the last two seasons.
Last year’s NFL Draft in Philadelphia saw a record-breaking crowd of more than 250,000 people, per the release of the league.
“Philadelphia raised the bar by taking the Draft to another level, and this new opportunity in Dallas will enable us to continue the event’s evolution and grow it even further,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “We are grateful to the Dallas Cowboys, the cities of Arlington, Dallas, and Frisco, and the Dallas Sports Commission for their leadership in turning this vision into reality.”
As part of the draft festivities, there will be an NFL Draft experience located in the plazas outside the stadium as well. Per the release, more activities would be released at a later date.
