In a rematch from the 2016 state title game, the Borden County Coyotes pulled away from the Jonesboro Eagles for a 60-22 victory to clinch their second straight title.

For the first MVP award, TexasHSFootball is awarding a Co-Most Valuable Player of The Game to senior running back Nick Proulx and junior defensive lineman Ben Justice.

Proulx was a force on the ground for the Coyotes on Wednesday afternoon, rushing for 251 yards and four touchdowns while adding eight tackles and a forced fumble on defense.
Meanwhile, Justice proved to be strong on the defensive side as well, finishing with 11 tackles, three fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a touchdown as well.

As the co-winners of the award, each player will receiver a commemorative custom MVP football, a full scholarship to the Football University Camp of their choice as well as an image collage that will be ready to share on social media.
