Sunday was a big day for the Buffalo Bills. The team broke their 17-year playoff drought with a win over Miami in Week 17 and thanks to the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Baltimore Ravens.
Andy Dalton threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd in the final minute of regulation to beat the Ravens and knock their divisional rivals out of postseason contention.
Bills fans haven’t stopped celebrating since Sunday night and fans have taken it upon themselves to say thank you to the former Katy quarterback.
The Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation has seen a spike in donations, many of them coming $17 at at a time to represent the number of years Buffalo missed out on the postseason.
According to the foundation’s website, their mission is to “provide daily support, opportunities, resources and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth.”
As of Tuesday morning, the foundation announced that they had crossed a new milestone, raising over $100,000.

As for Dalton, he’s taking everything in stride and has been appreciative of the generosity of Bills fans and others.
“I think I’m the hottest guy in Buffalo right now,” Dalton told ESPN reporter Katherine Terrell on Monday. “According to my Twitter, I think everybody’s loving us right now. Obviously that’s a crazy fan base, and they’re all pretty excited. We’re appreciative of that. They’re helping out a good cause. It’s been pretty fun to see the reaction we’ve gotten.”
The foundation also put out a statement on Monday thanking Bills fans for their generosity:
“Buffalo fans are a class act,” it read. “Thank you for showing your appreciation to Andy Dalton by supporting the families we serve. All of your donations will go to our outreach programs. We can do more with your help.”
