The Colony Try to Stay Unbeaten After Big Rematch With State Number One, Lone Star

Once kickoff begins, it will be officially 364 days since The Colony earned one of their most improbable wins in the schools history.  On the night of October 19th 2018, Quarterback Mikey Harrington threw a pass to Wide Receiver Keith Miller on a 4th and 17 who then lateraled the ball to Myles Price who took it the rest of the way, down the sideline for a fifty seven yard touchdown and a 21-14 victory over Frisco Lone Star.

Lone Star is ranked number one in 5A division 1.  An early season win over three time defending state champion Highland Park helped secure their ranking.  The Rangers defense has given up 20 or less points in each game this season, while their running back Jake Bogdon averages 8.9 yards per carry while scoring 9 touchdowns.

After an early playoff exit last season, The Colony has a chance to put a late season exclamation point on what has already been quiet a successful season.  The team comes in with a 6-0 record (3-0) in district and has what may be the most explosive offense in the state.  Their top 3 skill position players, Myles Price (Tech Commit) Keith Miller (Colorado Commit) and Christian Gonzales (Purdue Commit) have accounted for 23 touchdowns this season.  Harrington has shown great efficiency this season as he has thrown for 22 touchdowns while only throwing two interceptions.  Since week 1, the Cougars have scored at least 40 points in every game.

With the first place in the district on the line, as well as the memory of a game winner hook and latter finish still in the minds of many, we are sure to get a great show Friday Night.
