With National Signing Day quickly approaching, college coaches and recruiters from all over the country have been raking up those airline miles and burning rubber across the state of Texas as they make their in-home visits and extend offers to those late-blooming 2020 graduates and get a head start on the classes of 2021 through 2023.
Anthony Hill, LB, Denton Ryan: Perhaps the biggest winner of this current recruiting cycle is none other than Denton Ryan’s Anthony Hill. Hill, who is just a freshman at Ryan, has now picked up seven offers from Division I programs. Perhaps the most notable coming from Florida. Since this first offer arrived, Hill has picked up offers from North Texas, Mississippi State, Miami and Penn State.
Hill is apart of the ultra-talented class of 2023.
Roderick Daniels Jr., WR, Duncanville: Roderick Daniels Jr. continues to bring in his share of Division I offers. The most recent one was picked up Saturday from Missouri. Daniels now holds nine offers from NCAA FBS programs.
Charles Esters III, DE, Cedar Hill: Class of 2021’s Charles Esters III has racked up five offers during this latest recruiting trip. As the next year rolls along, be on the lookout for more schools to take notice. At 6 feet, 4 inches and 230 pounds, Esters has incredible size coming off the edge. Texas Tech is the most recent school and most notable to offer Esters.
Deuce Harmon, CB, Denton Guyer: Deuce Harmon, a 2021 cornerback/receiver, has picked up some huge offers this year. Most recently, Harmon picked up his first Pac-12 offer coming from California. Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, SMU, Oklahoma State and Mississippi State are among the big offers he has received to date.
Quinn Ewers, QB, Southlake Carroll: Standing 6 feet, 3 inches and weighing 190 pounds, 2022 graduate Quinn Ewers is rolling in the offers. The most recent came on Saturday from Miami. In the last week, Ewers has received five offers from major FBS schools. Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Miami are among the biggest offers in Ewers stable of schools pursuing him.
Cam Smith, WR, Denton Braswell: Cam Smith has started to see his recruitment pick up after a 1,000+ yard season as a junior. To date, Smith has received four FBS offers with two coming in the last week from North Texas and Louisiana-Monroe. Smith has also received an invite to compete with the Under Armour All-Americans.
Garrett Nussmeier, QB, Flower Mound Marcus: The Marcus gunslinger Garrett Nussmeier has seen his lion’s share of offers. Sitting at 28 offers, Nussmeier recently received an offer from Oklahoma State, North Texas and Texas. In addition to these, Nussmeier holds offers from Arizona State, Georgia, LSU, Penn State and TCU just to name a few of them.
