The Allen Eagles’ wide receiver Jordan Johnson used social media to announce his commitment to Hawaii’s football program on Tuesday:

Despite COVID-19 halting a lot of high school sports activities as well as recruiting, Johnson saw an increase in offers between March 27 and April 22— six offers to be exact.
The five-foot-nine athlete is ranked as the No. 21 all purpose back in the 2021 recruiting class and the 251st in the state according to 247sports.
Johnson was Allen’s leading rusher in the 2019 season with 763 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his junior season finale alone, Johnson rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns in an area-round playoff loss to Rockwall.
“The coaches at Hawaii, most of them come from Allen and they know a lot about Allen and our family mentality. I really liked that,” Johnson said. “What they have planned for me out there is that they are going to use me the way they use me out here at Allen. I’m a running back so I will run, but they will also put me out with the receivers too. I’m doing both.”
Johnson chose the Rainbow Warriors over programs like Army, Navy, Missouri State, Sam Houston State, and more.
