Katy continued its impressive start to the season with a 49-7 win over Dickinson. They are now 3-0 in District 19-6A play, tied in first with Katy Tomkins who just beat Katy Morton Ranch 48-0. Katy, Katy Tompkins and Katy Taylor are currently a combined 14-1.
Katy standout running back Jalen Davis started the scoring with a 69 yard run on the opening drive and they never looked back. Davis finished the game with 121 yards and two touchdowns. The Dickinson Gators fall to 2-1. Due to COVID-19, they’ve only played two games. They opened with a 38-21 win over Fort Bend Ridge Point and then shutout Clute Brazoswood 59-0 last week. They face Clear Brook next week. The Clear Book Wolverines are 4-2, having just beat Clut Brazoswood 33-20.
Katy has been in our Top 5 teams in the state all year (CLICK HERE for the Top 25 Rankings). They are currently ranked #3 behind North Shore and Westlake. They face Katy Tompkins next week in what will likely determine who ends up on top in the district. The Katy Tompkins Falcons were not ranked in our top 25 to start the season but they have climbed all the way to #11 this week and will likely move up into the top 10 leading up to their showdown with Katy.
