With the high school football regular season complete in Texas, we are looking at the top player from each of the classifications in the state.

A poll is included at the bottom. Cast your vote for the top 4A player of the 2021 regular season.

This list below may not contain all of the top players and is listed in no particular order. This poll is for you. It is for fun. Vote as often as you’d like. Get your friends and school to vote for your player. Have fun!

RB Sedrick Alexander (Jr.), Austin LBJ

The bell cow for the Jaguars as they completed their first undefeated regular season in school history.

RB Konlyn Anderson (Jr.), Brownwood

Brownwood’s leading rusher, his performance against Alvarado helped power the Lions to a playoff berth.

QB Major Bowden (Sr.), China Spring

A dual-threat quarterback, he helped lead China Spring to an undefeated, 10-0 regular season.

LB Sean Burks (Jr.), Cuero

The leading tackler in the state in the regular season, according to MaxPreps, he anchored a Cuero defense that gave up just 13.1 points per game.

WR Coy Eakin (Sr.), Stephenville

The leading receiver on a Stephenville team that averaged over 45 points per game offensively as the Yellowjackets finished the regular season 10-0.

QB Blake Flowers (Jr.), Seminole

He helped lead Seminole in a pass-heavy offense to a second-placed, 3-1 finish in District 2-4A Division II.

WR/FS Harrison Foster Sweetwater

A two-way starter, Foster helped lead Sweetwater to a 7-3 record on the season and the 1-4A Division I district title.

RB Elijah Gales (Sr.) West Orange-Stark

He became West Orange-Stark’s all-time leading rusher in October against Liberty as the Mustangs went on to finish 8-1 in the regular season.

QB Rashawn Galloway (Sr.), Boerne

Quarterbacked a Boerne team that averaged 39.6 points per game to its second consecutive district title.

QB Rene Galvan (Sr.), Sinton

Led Sinton in both passing and rushing yards as the Pirates tore through District 16-4A Division II play with a 7-0 record while averaging 50.3 points per game.

RB Epi Hinojosa (Jr.), Calallen

Calallen’s bell cow, Hinojosa played a big role in the Wildcats finishing the regular season with a 9-1 record while averaging 37 points per game.

QB Leo Holsey (Sr.), Sweetwater

A dual-threat, he led Sweetwater in both passing and rushing yards as the Mustangs finished 7-3 in the regular season.

WR Luca Kozhev (Sr.), Van

A big target at 6’5” and 200 pounds, he was Van’s leading receiver as the Vandals finished 10-0 in the regular season for the eighth time in school history.

QB Ryder Lambert (Jr.), Stephenville

Led a high-powered Stephenville offense that averaged 45.9 points per game and finished the regular season with a 10-0 record.

LB Kip Lewis (Sr.), Carthage

An Oklahoma commit who is regarded as one of the top prospects in all of 4A, he anchored a Carthage defense that allowed just 86 total points in its nine games.

DE Tristan Lewis (Sr.), Dallas Lincoln

One of the statewide sack leaders, he terrorized opposing quarterbacks on a Dallas Lincoln team that finished the regular season with a 5-4 record.

WR Dre’lon Miller (So.), Silsbee

Only a sophomore, he already has an offer from Buffalo after being Silsbee’s leading receiver this season.

FS/RB Jacob Montoya (Jr.), Hillsboro

He played some at running back, but he made his mark at safety for the Eagles, where he led the team in tackles and forced fumbles.

RB Rueben Owens (Jr.), El Campo

A five-star recruit who has 36 Division I offers, according to 247 Sports, he put up huge numbers on the ground for the Ricebirds as they finished the regular season with a 9-1 record.

QB Jackson Rainey (Sr.), Van

He led the Vandals in both passing and rushing yardage as they finished the regular season with an unblemished 10-0 record.

RB Richard Reese (Sr.), Bellville

A Baylor commit, he led the Brahmas backfield this season as their slot-T offense averaged 50.8 points per game.

RB Davin Rider (Sr.), Kilgore

The leader of the Kilgore rushing attack, he saved his best for last in Kilgore’s district title-clinching victory over Lindale in the regular-season finale.

RB Ezekiel Saldana (Sr.), Pecos

The backfield leader for the Eagles as they averaged 31.4 points per game on the season.

QB Brandon Tennison (Sr.), Gilmer

A UTSA commit, he’ll look to lead Gilmer back to its second consecutive state title game appearance after the Buckeyes averaged 44 points per game in the regular season.

QB Jason Thomason (Sr.), Caddo Mills

The centerpiece of an explosive Caddo Mills offense that averaged 41.3 points per game during the regular season.

QB Hudson White (Jr.), Glen Rose

A dual-threat, he paced Glen Rose in both passing and rushing yards as the Tigers finished the regular season 9-1 while averaging 42.2 points per game.

RB Jadonavan Williams (Sr.), Quinlan Ford

The leading rusher in Quinlan Ford’s Fly-T offense, he helped lead the Panthers to their first outright district title since 1979.

WR Montrel Hatten, Carthage

Hatten is the leading receiver on an undefeated Carthage team.
