Nearly four months after the deadly Uvalde shooting, the NFL is doing all they can to give back to the ailing community.

The Houston Texans hosted the Uvalde High School football team for their season-opening tie against the Indianapolis Colts. The Coyotes took the four-hour drive to NRG Stadium, and were hosted at an exclusive suite.

The Houston team wore “Uvalde Strong” stickers on their helmet for the game. Members of both the home and away team visited with the Uvalde athletes post-tie, signing merch and offering plenty of advice to the aspiring professionals.

The gesture comes a week after coach Lovie Smith and two players visited the team, surprising the Coyotes with new uniforms. The Texans also pooled together money for a donation to the Robb School Memorial Fund, totaling $200,000, which was matched by CEO Cal McNair.
