Guest Post by: Elizabeth Reed
High school football has grown so much over the years. We now have national networks like ESPN and FOX Sports investing time and resources on high school broadcasts as they would for college football. As a result of its upgraded profile, we’ve also seen college scouts devote more time to recruiting high school players.
Texas has produced the finest high school football players who ended up becoming elite professionals later on in their careers. One such example is the hottest NFL player, quarterback Jalen Hurts, who spent his high school years as a member of the Channelview American Football Team before playing college football in Alabama.
Miami Dolphins Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, an alumnus of Episcopal High School, is another great example. He is among the top 100 NFL players in 2022.
With that being said, let’s have a look at some of the most sought after High School prospects in Texas 4A in 2022:
Kobe Black (Top-Rated)
High school: Waco Connally High School, Waco, TX
