Prosper Dominates Rockwall-Heath 49-18

prosper vs heath

Tom Thumb - DFW's Grocer Since 1948

Friday night the Prosper Eagles took on Rockwall-Heath in a highly anticipated matchup. After both teams lost their matchups in week 1, Prosper and Rockwall-Heath are both looking to make a statement and enter the win Column.

Prosper exploded right out of the gates and never looked back as senior quarterback Braden Butler would connect with junior wide receiver Lathon Latiolais and senior wide receiver Luke Watkins to take a commanding lead over Rockwall-Heath 14-0. Prosper didn’t take their foot off the gas as they started the second quarter off with a blocked field goal to keep Rockwall-Heath off the scoreboard.

Prosper’s Braden Butler would connect with his receivers for three more touchdowns to end the first half with a dominating 35-0 lead over Rockwall-Heath. Coming right out of the gates, Lathon Latiolais helped increase Prosper’s lead with a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown, and it would increase Prosper’s lead 42-0. Rockwall-Heath would finally get on the scoreboard after forcing a safety on the Prosper Eagles which would give them a little momentum to help them score sixteen more points. In the end Prosper was just too dominant taking this win 49-18.

Next week, the Prosper Eagles look to keep this strong momentum going as they host their first district opponent, McKinney Boyd, who is coming off a 38-8 loss to Wylie East. Rockwall-Heath is looking to find their first win as they host a winless Cedar Grove team that is coming off a bye week and looking to get right back at it next week.
