Allen Stuns Duncanville 26-7 in Huge Season-Opening Win

Allen didn’t just avenge last season’s playoff loss to Duncanville. The Eagles made a statement.

In a rematch of the 2025 Class 6A Division I state semifinal, Allen opened the 2026 season with an impressive 26-7 win over the Panthers.

Quarterback Ty Snell gave Allen the early edge with a 23-yard touchdown pass to Cylas Siciliano. Senior running back Lyndon Spriggs added a one-yard touchdown run to make it 12-0 in the second quarter.

Duncanville finally answered just before halftime when Maximus “The Great” Denson connected with Purdue commit Trenton Yancey for a 53-yard touchdown, cutting the deficit to 12-7.

That was as close as the Panthers would get.

Snell added a 20-yard touchdown pass to Zach Williams in the fourth quarter, and Spriggs finished things off with a nine-yard touchdown run with 1:45 remaining.

Allen’s defense was just as impressive, piling up seven sacks and holding one of Texas’ premier programs to only seven points.

The Eagles start 2026 at 1-0 with one of the biggest wins of opening weekend.
