Dallas Jesuit vs. Allen leads this week’s huge slate of games as the season moves towards the push towards the post season. Last season, Allen blew out Dallas Jesuit 43-14 on their way towards a Final Four appearance in the playoffs.
This year, however, Dallas Jesuit has been building week after week looking to avenge their loss last season. Over the last three matchups, they have blown out their opponents 141-35 with their last victory coming on the road at Prosper 41-14.
Running back E.J. Smith said about Dallas Jesuit’s huge blowout victory over then undefeated Prosper, “This is what happens when we all come together, the defense, the offensive line, everybody,’’ said Smith, who rushed for 93 yards on 22 carries and caught three passes for 57 yards. “I think we showed what we can do as a team.’’ (Dallas News)
For Allen, it’s another season with the Eagles blowing past their competition. However, while the offense is as good as ever, the defense has not been as pristine. While Dallas Jesuit has held their opponents to 35 points, over the last three games, Allen has allowed 55.
Still a great number, but if there’s a weakness to Allen’s game that Dallas Jesuit can exploit its their defense.
