According to a report from Oscar LeRoy of the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the new head football coach at Archer City is former Midland Greenwood coach Shad Hanna.

Hanna steps into a bit of a challenge in Archer City. The Wildcats went 1-9 in their 2016 season, their only win came by a 55-27 win over Olney. They lost every other game by a substantial margin. This isn’t all their fault though, they had a young team, and they’re in a tough district with powerhouse Munday and Electra.

Greenwood went 7-3 in 2016, and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Bushland.

Good luck. Hanna can’t judge talent well. No one knows how he chooses his starters. Onside kicking every time and making the other team only go 45 yards to score won’t work either. Plus after a year or two the other teams predict his plays too well.
