During his junior season, Blackwell recorded 128 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions, three pass breakups and four forced fumbles.
The 6-foot-1 junior is ranked as the No. 67 player overall in Texas and the nations’ No. 32 outside linebacker per a 247sports composite. He was expected to go to Baylor, but became the third commitment to the Longhorns’ 2021 recruiting class.
Blackwell received the Longhorns’ offer in February and chose to commit to Texas over programs like Utah, Georgia, Baylor, Arkansas and more.
