Returning Lettermen: 25 (6 returning starters on offense; 5 on defense)
Arlington Martin Key Players and Storylines
Arlington Martin has missed the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 2004-05. That’s not going to fly in Warrior Country. Chad Rives said this year’s group is hungrier than ever after a pair of down years.
Half of their starters return, including backfield playmakers four-star running back Javien Jones-Priest and quarterback Chase Devoll (1,230 passing yards and 13 touchdowns). The Warriors also have some good size in the receiving corps in 6’2” receiver Chance Tealer (247 receiving yards and two touchdowns) and 6’4” tight end Ty Ingram.
Tough loss against SHP, but always room for improvement. Here are two of my best plays against! Check them out!
The biggest question mark sits up front, where the Warriors will be settling in four new starters on the offensive line.
Cornerback Kevin Grant is the name to know on defense after he finished 2025 with three interceptions while earning first team all-district honors. Linebacker Julian Deloera (57 tackles) is the Warriors’ leading returning tackler while defensive tackle AJ Jackson (34 tackles, five TFLs) brings plenty of force at 6’2” and 260 pounds.
Before this playoff drought, Martin had won five consecutive district titles. That’s the goal Rives has set in front of his team for 2026 as they look to get the bitter taste of these losing seasons out of their mouths.
