BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY: Guyer-Ryan set to clash for Denton bragging rights

For the first time since 2015, Denton Ryan and Denton Guyer will face off in a major Week 2 match-up of epic proportions. 

Guyer is coming off its state championship loss to Austin Westlake, and Ryan is coming off its state championship loss against Alvin Shadow Creek. 

Ryan, a perineal Class 5A powerhouse will look to build upon its successes last year, returning their starting QB Seth Henigan, while Guyer could be without Texas A&M commit Eli Stowers, who suffered a left knee injury in the first quarter of the state game. 

Regardless, these two schools will certainly put on a show in week 2.
